ESPN & Fox Sports both report KG deal to Boston Celtics imminent. Anyways, the only way for the Lakers to get him was to trade Kobe (why?).

A close friend of mine is a die hard T-Wolves fan. Say good bye to your beloved franchise.

Biking in Orange County

For all the roadies out there, OCTA has the latest bike trail and map available. High Resolution PDF is available here: http://www.octa.net/bikemaps/bike6.htm

I try to ride Laguna Canyon Road once every week. The ride itself is not too bad, outside of the Human Pingball area near the Festival of the Arts (its fun dodging people, dogs, cars, and buses).

For your amusement, read about Austin Murphy (SI.com) and his Tour de France experience. ttp://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/austin_murphy/07/27/tour.excursion/index.html

UPDATE: Better post provided by Adam is available here

Irvine Softball League

City of Irvine hosts some of the nicest sports fields in Southern California, and the City's softball leagues are some of the best. I've been playing in it for about a year now. Games are competitive, the players are friendly, and most importantly, you get to go out and re-live your glory days. Anyways, check out the link below for more information.

LA Galaxy - SuperLiga Action

Nice to see some good soccer action in Southern California. Are the Galaxy any good? Compare to the premiere European clubs? Not really, but are they watchable? Yes. Hopefully David Beckham will bring some additional attention to this support. Otherwise, ESPN will resort to showing every Barry Bonds at-bat for the next month.

LA Angels: Trade Rumors

"People familiar with the Mark Teixeira trade talks say the Angels are belying their usual California cool and being "very persistent" in their efforts to land the switch-hitting slugger, who would be the perfect complement to Vladimir Guerrero."

UC Irvine baseball team had an amazing run during the College World Series. The team finished 4th in the tournament and the Coach Dave Serrano was voted coach of the year by Baseball America. http://ucirvinesports.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/062707aab.html

Congratulations coach!

Love him or hate him

Kobe whines, cries, demands to be traded. But the man is the best baller in the world. What can the Lakers do. Anyways, Kobe nails the game winner over Tayshun Prince in Team USA scrimmage http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=sheridan_chris&id=2945741
